British Sky Broadcasting is the operator of the UK's largest digital pay television platform, Sky digital. Sky also owns and operates 28 channels, including Sky One, Sky News, Sky Travel, the Sky Sports channels and the Sky Movies channels.  BSKYB offers betting on sports by Interactive TV, telephone and the internet, and Casino by Interactive TV and the Internet with online gaming presence with Skybet.com and Skyvegas.com which only accounts for 10% of BSKY's total revenue.

Interim Management Statement for the nine months ended 31 March 2008, Revenue of 3,706 million ( 2007 3,376 million) Profit of £504 million (2007 613 million), Adjusted earnings per share of 17.0 pence (2007 19.5 pence), Sky Bet revenue of £35 million (2007: £34 million), increased by 3% on the comparable period, benefiting from the consolidation of 365 Media Group plc and growth in internet sports betting and TV games. In particular, Sky Poker has performed strongly.

Revenue increased 11% to to £2,458 million (2006 £2.220 million, Basic loss per share of 6.4 pence, Operating profit of £295 million, (2006 395 million), Interim dividend increased by 8% to 7.1 pence per share. Sky Bet revenue was £24 million (2007: £20 million), an increase of 20% on the comparable period, benefiting from the consolidation of 365 Media Group plc and growth in internet sports betting and TV games

Revenue increased by 10% to £3,376 million, (2006) 3,079 million. Basic EPS of 22.1p (2006: 23.2p)
Sky Bet revenue was £34 million, an increase of 26% on the comparable period, benefiting from two months of consolidation of 365 Media Group plc and good growth in internet sports betting and TV games. The integration of 365 Media Group plc (acquired in February 2007) is on track and performing in line with our expectations. We have also made a good start to the launch of Sky Poker, with around 20,000 paying customers registered since its launch on 8 February 2007.

15th December 2006 BSKYB announced a recommended cash offer for 365 Media (365) of 68p Cash per share valuing 365 media (365) at £96 million or a loan note alternative. 365 media has an extensive portfolio of media sites including Teamtalk.com, Sportinglife.com, Planet-rugby.com, Football365.com, rivals.net. It also acquired 365 Media gaming websites the sportsbooks ukbetting.com, totalbet.com, goldbet.com and online casino Clubonthepark.com and odds comparison website odddschecker.com
